The New Terms of Service and Privacy Policy Take Effect Today
As of July 27, 2026 (JST), the fully revised Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are in effect. Accordingly, a consent screen for the new terms is shown when you access the dashboard, and dashboard and API features are unavailable until you consent. Bots already running on Discord will not stop.

Last updated: July 27, 2026Thank you for using BotShade.
The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that we fully revised, as previously announced, take effect today, Monday, July 27, 2026.
Accordingly, from today, a consent screen for the new terms is shown when you access the dashboard. We apologize for the interruption and ask that you review the contents and give your consent.

What changes today
Consent to the new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy is now a prerequisite for using BotShade.
Because this is the initial effective version replacing the interim terms provided during the beta period, we are asking every customer who already has an account to consent again. Until you have consented, the dashboard screens and the API are unavailable.
Customers who register from today onward consent at the time of registration, so this consent screen will not appear for them.
How to consent
- Sign in to the dashboard.
- A full-screen consent screen is displayed.
- Review the full text of the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Buttons on the screen open each document in a new tab.
- If you agree, tick the checkbox and press the consent button.
- Your consent is recorded and the dashboard becomes available as usual.
Consent is required once per account. Once given, this screen will not appear again until we make another significant revision to the terms.
Until you consent
While your consent is outstanding, only the following operations are available:
- Retrieving your own account information
- Consenting to the new terms
- Requesting account deletion, and withdrawing that request
- Signing out
All other dashboard operations and API requests are rejected until you consent. The consent screen appears before any Bot settings or command editing screens.
Effect on running Bots
Bots already running on Discord continue to operate while your consent is outstanding. This consent check applies to the dashboard and to API operations tied to your account; it does not stop Bot execution itself.
That said, you cannot change Bot settings or edit custom commands until you consent, so we recommend taking care of it before it affects your operations.
If you do not consent
If you do not agree to the new Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, you can request account deletion (withdrawal) directly from the consent screen. The procedure is the same as the normal withdrawal flow in the dashboard settings (a confirmation phrase to type in, plus several checkboxes to confirm).
If you change your mind after submitting the request, you can withdraw the request from the same screen.
For how your data is handled after withdrawal, please see Chapter 4, Article 3 of the new Terms of Service (data is deleted 24 hours after the withdrawal date; you may also request immediate deletion).
What we record as proof of consent
So that your consent can be verified later, we record the following:
- The version of the terms you consented to
- The date and time of consent
- The IP address at the time of consent
- Browser information (user agent) at the time of consent
These are used solely as evidence of consent and are stored in append-only form. For details of how they are handled, please see the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
Q. What happens if I simply do not consent? A. The dashboard and API remain unavailable. Your account will not be deleted automatically. You can consent whenever it suits you and resume use immediately.
Q. I am on a paid plan. What happens to my charges while I have not consented? A. Your subscription continues, so charges continue as before. If you do not wish to continue, please cancel or withdraw. See the cancellation and withdrawal chapter of the new Terms of Service for details.
Q. Several people in our organization use the dashboard. Does everyone need to consent? A. Yes. Consent is recorded per account, so each person who uses the dashboard needs to consent.
Q. Will consent be required every time the terms change? A. Only for significant changes. In that case we will notify you at least 30 days before the effective date and ask for consent again. Minor corrections will not trigger a consent screen.
